Undead Doll
Posted: Saturday, July 19, 2008
Corrupted Carousel is a new board that I started going to after Eden-Enchanted closed. I have not really been active though.
CC has a trend of 'corupted' avatars, and I decided to make one. The character is not really anyone, but I like this avatar (Except for the shoes, which don't show in the 150x200px version that I actually use as an avatar).
The base is Destiny, by myself.

I've got a new pixel phone for you: The Apple iPhone.
It only comes in black, but there is an animated, and non-animated version.

Shiny, shiny.
Please go ahead and adopt, but remember to link me. It would be great if you told me when you use them, but as long as there's credit it's not required.
New Adoptable Cel Phone Pixels LG Chocolate Phone
Posted: Saturday, October 13, 2007
Hi. I've just made a small set of adoptable cel phone pixels.
I was looking at pics of the LG Chocolate, and when I saw the strawberry chocolate phone (the pink one) I thought that it would be fun to pixel them
Here are the animated ones:

Or the non-animated ones if you prefer:

I hope that you like these and can use them. I think that I might pixel some other phones.
Amaterasu Doll on Rinbu Base for Wishnick
Posted: Saturday, October 06, 2007
Wishnick has a request on EE for dolls of her human version of Amaterasu, the wolf from Okami, so I did this
.
I'm not much of a gamer, but I saw my boyfriend playing this, and it seemed nice. It would have been cool on the DS, because there were parts where you had to draw things on the screen.
This is my first doll in a while. I just got finished with a busy month where I moved into a new apartment and bought a lot of furniture. Hopefully I won't slack so much again right away
It was really relaxing and nice to make this doll, and I hope Wishnick likes it.
Three Ways to Find out What People Really Think of Your Art
Posted: Wednesday, August 22, 2007
Madison was a bad pixel artist by anyone's definition. Her pillow-shaded nightmares in saturated magenta hues were tolerable only in proportion to the speed with which her thread's viewers could hit the back button. The problem was Madison didn't know that she was a bad pixel artist. Everyone on the dolling forums was too polite to tell her directly although they left all sorts of clues. If only Madison knew how to detect them she could have been making beautiful dollz in no time.
Rinbu Base
Posted: Saturday, August 18, 2007
Here's my new base: Rinbu. She's small and cute, with a slender build and oversize head. So I guess she's kind of a chibi base, but kind of a realistic base too. In between. I actually think she looks a little too normal and not very original.
I named her Rinbu because it was the first thing that I thought of when I was making the doll of Utena that became this base.
The song that starts the show that Utena is in is called 'Rinbu Revolution'. I thought Rinbu sounded cute and easy to remember.
I thought it soundedd a little bit like 'rainbow', and that's why I changed the eye colors to mimic a little rainbow. I hope you like her. I included a sitting pisition this time, along with a few straight standing positions and a few with the torso to the side.
Utena Doll on My Rinbu base
Posted: Tuesday, August 07, 2007
It's a new doll of a character from an Anime
Revolutionary Girl Utena is a show that not make a lot of sense and just tries to trip you out all the time. I really liked it
I watched it a long time ago though, like 6 years, so I don't remember a whole lot. I re-watched the first episode again on Youtube as I was making this, and I think I might try to get a hold of the series again, although I'm not sure that I want to re-watch shows I like when i was younger (it kind of turns out that they are stupider than I remember
.)
Anyway. Years ago, after liking the show and thinking it was pretty. I made a KiSS doll about it (KiSS is a dollmaker program. I think you can still learn more about it and get this set here), and when I saw a screenshot (you can view the screenshot behind the cut. Just click the 'download or Adopt link at the bottom of the post.) , I thought I'd try to remake her as a simple doll.
'Rinbu' is the name of the base that I made while I was working on the doll. I'll release it soon, as soon as I make some more poses, so come back next week or keep an eye out on the doll forums.

How to finish the Projects you Start
Posted: Thursday, August 02, 2007
Are you the kind of person who has a lot of great ideas, but has a hard time finishing your projects?
Do you have a folder on your hard drive full of art that you haven’t finished yet?
Do you have ‘temporarily’ abandoned projects, half-finished layouts, 9/10ths of a short story, or ‘ideas’ for a novel?
There are a lot of reasons why we don’t finish the projects we start.
We might take on too many projects at once, only to get frustrated as we don’t make progress on any of them. Or we might keep raising the bar every time we near completion, making it impossible to finish.
Why did updating my website take me 4 months? Well, I can tell you that, and I can also tell you why it didn’t take even longer.
How to pixel cute eyes for your dolls and pixel bases
Posted: Tuesday, July 24, 2007
When you're making a base for pixel dollz, you want it to look pretty and stand out.
There is no single 'most important' part of pixeling doll bases, but making pretty eyes is a great way to grab people's attention and make your doll base look great.
Have you ever noticed that most of the doll site banners and doll base thumbnails you see tend to include an eye? Well, that's because eyes naturally draw our attention.
The eyes are the most important part of the face, in people, and in pixels. When people look at photos of others, they notice the eyes first, and focus on them longer than any other feature. So, in this tutorial I'll show you how to make cute pixel eyes that POP in just a few steps, with lots of pics, and easy to understand explanation.
